So I got invited by the Boutique and the dress code was "Anything Red"

To go with the theme, I put on something red and something square as well.

This was a day I was so looking forward to for a long time.

I arrived much much earlier to avoid the nightmare traffic jam.

The red floor sticker in the boutique is very nice and befitting the hero of the night.

Greeted by the friendly staff, the bad news was delivered to me.

He informs me the Reverso TT Rouge was not delivered to the boutique yet. He too was led to believe it would be delivered for the event. In fact, when I arrived, they had just opened up the delivery package.

Instead, what did they find inside the delivery box?

It was Red too.

It was the original vintage Rouge.

Am I dissappointed by the bad news? Certainly not smile

In fact I was so early, it wasnt put in the display case yet. I considered myself ultra lucky to be able to see the Rouge so so up close and personal.

Interesting to notice that the backplate in the vintage has a "groove" when the watch is slide out, it sort of "pop-ed up" and feels like it was eager to be flipped over, a characteristic which I found charming. Compared to the modern TT which is flat. The vintage one doesnt lie flat down,

Yup, I was lucky enough to be given 10sec to put it on for a wrist shot comparison.

And it looks pretty darn good, with casual jeans too.

That was all I was allowed to do in 60sec. It had to be placed in position next to its Blue brother and a sister : )

But my my my, those 60sec will be a lifetime of horological memory.

How do I feel?

In short, mesmerized

So now I guess, I am just waiting to see the TT Rouge next, eagerly as always.

A great many thanks to the awesome friendly staff at the boutique for giving me this absolutely fantastic experience. JLC rocks and that's why they remain my favorite brand, not just for their timepieces but the brand experience they deliver.
