Reliability/accuracy of Reverso mechanisms
Hello everyone from Moscow, Russia! My first post here!
I know I may sound silly yet the question I have is this - how accurate and reliable are JLC mechanisms in general and REVERSOs in particular? I have a watch in mind that I think of buying (caliber 836, discontinued day/date model)... yet it's the complications in a rather small case that put me off...I don't consider Reverso a "toolwatch" of a kind and do not expect it to beat the best mechanisms out there in terms of accuracy yet it would be nice if it could work within say +-15 secs per day... And also one more thing - will an old discontinued model be easily serviced at a AD? Thank you all in advance if you bother to reply!
P.S I'm buying Reverso for the pure beauty of it, really-really-really hoping it is also good enough for timekeeping )))

...in excess of the above posters, I would venture that any JLC watch since at least the 1920s ought to be capable of keeping time within 15 sec./day, provided it is in good repair. Our household has 4 Reversos with varying complications, all excellent in...
