PVD?

Looks to me like scratched PVD steel or PVD titanium. I've been wearing a ceramic PAM 292 for years. Case is ceramic, bezel is PVD steel. Bezel does scratch like your JLC in the picture.

My Amvox 2 Chrono is PVD titanium, which I accidentally scratched while changing a strap. During service at JLC, those tiny marks were removed. no idea how they did that.

Cermet vs ceramic? Do they scratch? What\'s the difference in practice terms? I ask because I see this on my bezel....at 9 o\'clock. Looks like scratched PVD. Makes no sense as I thought ceramic does not scratch? ...

Cermet is a blend of ceramic powder and aluminium, aluminium for the lightness, ceramic for the hardness. It seems logical that it is less resistant than a " pure " ceramic case, but it is

Surprising to see what you are showing on your picture. I had it for a whole summer for an on the wrist test, and despite the " treatment " I gave it, no dings nor signs as the one you are showing... Best, Nicolas

I am also very confused at what this could be. I think something must have rubbed off on it. Ceramic doesn't scratch like this. IWC markets their variant of Cermat as the best. I never really researched ceramic cases much before this. Who do you think mak...

It may well be something on the case...

A review of a ceramic Hublot a few years ago on ABTW revealed there was material on the case (after a clash with a lamp post)

Hi all having just recently picked up a Speedmaster Apollo 8 Dark Side of the Moon I would have to say I think Omega make the best Ceramic cases as they are able to produce a similar finish on their cases as on a Stainless Steel watch case with both brush...

I am not sure what happened here. You can only see it in certain light. The picture zoomed in makes it look worse but I would still be interested in what this is.
