Polaris II, Chapter II: The Blue Dial.

Call it greediness, passion, love, whatever you want, but after the Polaris II and its grey dial, I wanted to get the blue dial.

And now, I am also hunting the red dial.

Why?

First of all because despite their funky look, the Polaris II, red, grey or blue, are cool watches, and, as always, a different dial provides a different character.

The Grey is the most conventional, the most reasonable version for this funky watch.

With the Blue, we are in the Seventies, with Austin Powers as a neighbour.

With the Red, you're living an episode from the Starsky and Hutch TV Series.

Back to the Blue, its color is really funky, as you will see, which is another argument in this watch favour.

Second reason, and not the less important, I am on to close my Vintage JLC Divers thema. Which will be the case when I find the Red Polaris II.

A detail I observed on all the Polaris II I " met " in the real or in pictures, though:

While it seems that the Blue received a Lecoultre dial, the Grey and the Red had Jaeger Lecoultre dials.

Which means no Jaeger Lecoultre for the Blue, no Lecoultre for the Red and the Grey.

Did you happen to meet exceptions?

So, now, let's see the funkiest Polaris II in all its " beauty "...

Without forgetting the psychedelic case back...

Certainly not the most elegant nor the finest Vintage watch, but a watch which, nonetheless, brings a lot of pleasure.

Best,

Nicolas.
