You're right that was a bit of a rant. Mostly at Tudor admittedly for a matter of aesthetics. I did have my watchmaker (3rd generation) who said it was a little dirty but saw no reason for the break otherwise. Perhaps I just need to take a breather before approaching JLC. Or perhaps just accept it as a non-working display piece — hardly old enough but still.
