No, you had two different Extreme Lab II " Red ". If I remember well, only the second version had the Master Compressor written on the bezel. The definitive version didn't.
Now I have a doubt on the smooth bezel on the Red. I will have to check that.

There were two versions in red
I guess the version with the writing on the bezel and the black movement was the prototype. The first serial version was than without writing on the bezel, but with the black movement, too. Than there was a second red version with a much brighter movement...
Why have they changed the movement Color?

My guess is that there were two good years between the unveiling and the first pieces for sale. So there were some watches which came with the blackened movement, only.
Same for the Geophysic TS and UT. The first watches came without a bridge near the balance wheel. Tough to say how many " special " watches came.

At least on my rubber one, the proprietary piece is moleded into the rubber, the leather strap gives you a clear view of the piece in question.
