Not too cold...when the boat is moving at full-clip, yes, but otherwise fairly mild.

If they're like many kids they'll go from not-cold, to artic-level core temperature and bawling from one moment to the next. August should be good. July and August are the best, I've heard. Are you doing the typical Inside Passage?

Now that is the experience I want. Not viable with teen kids, but that’s definitely more my style.

Wow. San Diego to Seattle is a heck of a long trip for non-seamen (thank god I spelled that correctly).
