I just picked up this nice bumper-auto but I'm unsure of how to open it, this is my first LeCoultre (I collect Omegas) and I'm curious to see the movement and get the reference #'s. I really don't want to damage it but it looks like there is a small slot ...

Hi Nicolas, so this is where you primarily reside, I've always wanted a LeCoultre and I purchased this from an estate along with a few Omegas. I thought this would be a good JLC starter watch to get my toes wet, I'm just amazed at the quality of workmansh...

It has a stainless back (D&A), I would of preferred a full stainless case but the price was just too tempting, bumper movement and I've procrastinated too long about taking the JLC plunge. I always conduct a forum and web search first but I will no doubt ...

I opened the case this evening, I was surprised to see the bumper springs completely exposed but the movement is excuted quite well. It looks to have never been serviced with a complete lack of a watchmakers mark. I'm sorry about the quality of the photos...
