I just put that JLC on a watch list. Steel. Your experience is useful.
Another vote for the JLC.
Both are classic choices, but I personally find the JLC a more compelling choice.
Peculiar choice of hands
The new date hand has a counterweight that the previous model lacked, for a good reason. The counterweight obstructs the moon phase view every 12th to 20th of the month.

On paper: JLC. On the wrist: PP. Id take the patek for the more refined details.
Yet if you like moonphases, the jlc is really cool!

I have tried on that blue MUT Moon and it’s stunning. If I didn’t already have the silver dial, I would have bought it.

I had a similar choice
Between the MUT moon (silver face) and an A Lange Sohne Saxonia Automatic. Can’t speak for the Patek but after putting both on, i just felt the presence of the Lange a lot more. The JLC felt like a toy watch in comparison. I know that might be controversi...
Agreed
The white gold definitely had more heft..but everything about the watch felt elevated…the winding of the rotor felt smoother and more solid, the finishing was next level, and the German silver dial had more sparkle.
