Jaeger-LeCoultre

Master Compressor Geographic - Late but great ...

Team,

I remember admiring this watch during my days of lurking at the PuristS (before Ppro):

www.network54.com

At that time, I had absolutely no chance to get this watch and I knew nothing about JLC, except that it was a very expensive brand.

Time passes, things change and few months back I had the opportunity to grab one.

It was in good shape (papers says 2007 but who knows how much time it was on the AD stand?), movement was untouched but had the clear indications that a complete cleaning and oiling was a must.

Got it and dropped on the able hands of my watchmaker.

He stated: "This will take some time".

Time passes and last Thursday it was ready.

Amazing watch.

Some technical characteristics:

- Automatic winding mechanical movement, Calibre 923.
- 28,800 vibrations per hour.
- Power reserve: approximately 43 hours.
- Crown with compression key.
- Water-resistant to 10 ATM.

Few pictures of it, during the maintenance:

Notice the remains of lube before dissasselbly for cleaning:

Assembled, being adjusted on five positions:

Perfect, even according the 1,000 hours.

Other position

On my wrist: 41.5mm - perfect fit.

Loving those semi-vintage (can I call those JLC semi-vintage?) watches.

Thanks for seeing,

Nilo
