I had a look at the rather new lineup of the Duometre and the new domed sapphire some how puts me a bit off. Not sure it is the simple reason that i am so used to the classical duometre case…any thoughts? ...
with a flimsy pin buckle, at least in matching metal. For 80k i would expect a folding clasp. But then it will be in WG. Thats why i store a few old single fold PT950, from the good old times.
The crown is somehow more "masculine" and there is something German in the overall look of the 1st gen, which no longer exists with the new one, that I really love. The crystal is also domed on the first gen, but it's much less pronounced.
I also like the fact that it is nearly half the price of the Platinum and much cheaper than the Gold versions and I just like the blue dial and the layout more on that one than the other versions. Marc

The power coming out of the earlier version is strong and timeless. The new one is anchored in the past. My opinion only and it does not take away the interest in the concept and in the marvelous movement inside all the versions. Best, E.
