Jaeger Lecoultre Grande Reverso Ultra Thin Rose Gold Chocolate. A story behind the pictures...

Sep 21, 2018,11:23 AM

It was at the SIHH 2014 when Jaeger Lecoultre unveiled the Grande Reverso Ultra Thin in rose gold, with its chocolate dial.

When I saw the first press files pictures...

I found them pretty good, truth to be told, and while Jaeger Lecoultre highlighted the brown of the shoes and the strap, matching with the dial, I opted for another solution, and asked them to bring me a box or tow of their chocolates... What they agreed to do, despite the fact it was the rush at the booth, at that moment.

Then, I asked them to bring me this vintage Reverso from their collection, to take some pictures, and to show the inspiration, the roots of this new " Chocolate Reverso ".

Ok, the idea was good, but, still, I had their idea in my mind, to associate the Reverso and these brown shoes...

so, I removed my shoes, which are a bit " special ", to say the least, and I took this picture.

The shoes are from Heschung, which work quite well with the spirit of adventure of the icon from Jaeger Lecoultre.

And we had some laughs... too, with the Team in charge of the press relations.

So, you see how is a Moderator's life: A touch of seriousness, fantasy, madness, and fun.

Aaah, and yes, you can also see some very nice watches, also. Such as this one, which is one of the few ones I really like in colored gold.

The vintage is not bad looking, either!

Best,

Nicolas

What amazes me is their sense of customer satisfaction: you ask, they deliver. You dare, they support and share your amusement. And I am sure that goes beyond the fact that you are a moderator Best, É. PS: I love the vintage one!

;) Thanks, my dear E. [nt]

A Fagliani strap is definitv on my buy list. I am fighting we me to spend so much money for a strap. One day i do it ...

Paneristi wouldn’t think twice when spending for a strap.

Straps also contribute to watch aesthetics and versatility

I can't agree more. [nt]

I know this and i am very carefull with my straps. The strap is like the shoes, "Show me your shoes and i tell you who you are". I can not understand when the people wears straps with a microcosmos inside and i always feel with the watchmakers, when they ...

Merci, Mike! [nt]

And for the explanations! I really like this piece. There was also another chocolate version ultra thin released few years ago I remember that was really cool in rose gold. Really liked it. Kev

I have to say that you did extremely well with your camera. Bravo!

Your presentation is beautiful. I have to say that I like this watch a lot. But I have one reservation. I think the white print of the dial is too stark. It is ok that they used white print, but the lines are too thick and strong. See the difference betwe...
