I see what you mean.
I'd say that with the Grande Date or the Grande GMT, you won't be wrong!
Personnaly, I'd go on the Grande Date...
I love the simplicity of the dial, a bit understated.
The Grande GMT has a friendly complication which sings a lot to me, too.
So, the solution is to try them both in the real world.
If you can live with the ( bit ) more busier dial of the GMT, go on it.
If not, the Grande Date is for you.
You really have to try both of them , and you will see, the choice will be easier.
