When I was trying to decide on the perfect alarm watch for me, this review would have been very helpful -- or perhaps it would have just confused me more, as you make a good case for both. Hey, at least I was able to narrow choices down to within a single...

In the end I went for the Tribute to Polaris '65 when the opportunity arose to get one. Even if I cannot settle on a Reverso, I was able to settle on a JLC alarm. respo

Actually, I was little bit upset with JLC after that one. Because when I ordered my two Polaris I didn’t know about the Paris boutique edition. Later I heard a rumour about a third version, so I asked JLC about the third one, and they say there are only t... 

I have found that many ADs simply do not have all the information about JLC watches, which is why this forum is so helpful in so many ways. Of course, the PBE was impossible to order from anywhere other than the PB (and I had some Moderated help with mine... 

But I had them call JLC while I was standing right next to the phone… Yes, I realised that later, and it turned out to a good thing anyway. But, when you ask a straight question, you are expecting a straight answer… About the Memos, thank you ...

Perhaps you would throw in a few lines comparing the sound qualities of the two?

Concerning the sound of the two, it’s very difficult to say. Especially when I am no sound expert, but I try; Both have a fairly strong sound, stronger then a minute repeater. They have the same rhythm since it’s the same Cal 918 and both are ... 

When I think about what Black Memovox to add in my collection, comes to my mind the Black Memovox housing the manual Cal 914. And also the Vintage Polaris 65... As for the MC Memovox, I had it in 2002, and sold it in 2004, because of this 3rd crown at 10,... 

There will always be one that haunts us in our dreams! If it’s not the vintage Polaris 65 or the MM cal 914, it will be something else… And I bet that when you have them all – if you don’t have the MCM you will regret it! At least just to make sure to clo... 

At the contrary of the Polaris 65, but I'm still working on getting one... And I won't give up! Best, Nicolas

Between the two, I prefer the MC Memovox, I like the 10atm water resistance. But if I could go out today and buy one of the two, already owning a different MC, I would probably branch out and get the Amvox I. and wear the Compressor when there's a chance ... 

To have one of each would be the perfect solution! Which one did you pick? I only have experience of the MCM but I am very curious on the other two MC’s! J Best Blomman

I swear, if there was an Extreme Compressor with chronograph, alarm and 2d time zone, I would never covet another watch, ever. That would be my perfect solution. I guess I like JLCs too much, I couldn't stand to wear one and leave the other(s) at home! If... 

I feel the same way about the EWC, and if it were to have an alarm it would be more than perfect for me. I also considered trading mine in for the EWA, but decided against that, which I am absolutely positive was the right decision. Your Evil Twin, respo

Thanks for this nicely done and very informative review. Actually I am looking into the MCM. I absolutely love the Memovox complication and want to have a more sporty watch. In that case the MCM seems to be a good choice, right. Cheers!

Both are very sporty, the AMI more classic Memovox than the MCM. But I think if you want a sports watch that you actually can use as a sport watch then the MCM is to prefer. Best Blomman

I would say the AMI , considering your previous choice of watches. Especially as you earlier mentioned that you would like to have a black dialled one in your collection. A watch I am very curious about is the Extreme World Alarm. But I don’t know if that...

I feel the AMI has the better dial but the crowns on the MCM are superior to those on the AMI - it's a draw. One thing that does catch my eye though, is the location of the Date function. It looks slightly out of place at Three O'Clock, especially on the ...
