There are watches I regret having sold. This Master 8 Days Perpetual Skeleton is one of them. In terms of legibility, there is better, no doubt about that. Bur in terms of beauty and charm, this light, modern and sculptural version of the 8 Days Perpetual...  

And yet it would be easy to experiment with different hands during the design or prototyping process. I wonder why we end up with these "what if" watches that seem so close but for the hands. About this watch, I like everything except the hands.

Most limited editions are not sacred, so we must buy with cynicism in our minds.

I think that for a perpetual calendar, an open dial or skeletonized version like this is usually the way to go. Otherwise, the view through the caseback is often not any more compelling for the additional complication.

I know its platinum but that added contrast would have been perfect.
