If it is just a full service, it is ok. But if he has to repair a broken part of a caliber for instance, it could be a nightmare :-(
Watch brands have totally locked their repair service department today and it is very difficult for an independent watchmaker to find a NOS part or make a new one (need to find plans, cost which could be really expensive for the client...).
Not a really good news for watch lovers I think.

I just came back from my beloved watchmaker / teacher and he showed me a very old Panerai. Sorry I could not take pictures :-( It is in a very bad condition (need to make a new winder rod...) and it needs a lot of work to become as it was several decades ...
