stay in the original plan. It is clear that new Reversos are introduced but some old models are perhaps dropped. I have found that in general it is better to stay in the original plan because in my case when I have changed my plans, the changes have not been normally considered to the bitter end.
I would not change a JLC Reverso to IWC's chrono...
