The deep sea era was peak for me, the mix of contained size, elegance and capabilities was very attractive. I am still very much fond of the deepsea chronograph.

So true. That one in particular is so well done. They managed to recreate it in a slightly larger diameter but keeping the true spirit of that watch.

Oh yes I know. The original is 35 mm. They didn't want to go for 35, not even 36 or 37. The smaller they wanted was 38, 5 mm ( its size ), because they thought people was not ready to buy a smaller watch.
