It actually added another dimension to the story that I didn't know about - certain details. The aspect of the son's involvement in the genesis. I don't know if the son's broken eyewear was true or added in. One detail that the comic isn't accurate in is the size of the factory. The comic portrays the factory as it sits today. But back then it was much smaller.  And the detail about the black dial - that's how black dials started - black dials at one point did denote "sports watch."
