I like the second due to the more solid( legible) hands, but what bothered me on this reference is the city display curing in tho the hour and minutes dial. To me a big design no-no;) Other than that, a great piece.

The hands on the yg model are interesting. I like the more discreet day/ night indicator and lower city disk and triangle hour markers as in my ref. Small differences in case make the yg model more "round" - cool watches 👍 ...

I think this particular incarnation of the Master Geographique, and its silver dial sibling, were the best ones ever made by JLC, at least aesthetically. Size was spot on too, at 38.5mm if my memory serves.

Debut date was '89, if I recall correctly....

the bracelet tastes back then were quite different and JLC had yet to launch the Master Control series. But it was a genius travel watch, and still is considered "a masterpiece" in the industry. -Dean
