I believe it is actually lubricating oil...
I own the Grande GMT and I had oil appear on my dial at one point (after 9 years). I sent it to the factory and they cleaned it up. But if you like the accents, enjoy!

Tinge of orange on the dial
Just purchased this pre-owned Reverso gmt. Didn’t notice tinge of orange at the edge of the day/night and date windows when I placed the order. Only discovered it when I looked at it under the loop. Somehow I found it special and eye pleasing. Anyone know...
Must be some kind of chemical reaction… seems quite common for dials of that JLC era
Rolex fans go nuts for stuff like that, so it clearly must be a good thing +++
Probably linked to some kid of humidity.
