I thought I gave an e'xplanation in the review I posted about the MMR, but not sure, so here it is:
The gongs are squarred, in the end, to allow the sound to be richer...It's a technical explanation I had from JLC...
As for yor other questions, of course I'll ask JLC...
When you ask if the materials are the same, may you be more explicit? Same than what?
