Jaeger Lecoultre Master Perpetual 8 Days Skeleton, Platinum.
By: amanico : September 28th, 2024-09:25
LE of 100 pieces, issued in 2007. And, two years after, in a batch of 175 pieces, in rose gold. That was something! Best, Nicolas ...

Oh yes. When I saw it at the JLC booth ,in Geneva, in 2007, I ordered it, along with the Duometre. ;)

It’s obviously great and eye-catching in its own range, but

it doesn’t speak to me at all. Too busy for me, but just my taste of course. 🤷🏽♂️

Rules and exceptions.
By: M4 : September 28th, 2024-11:19
As a rule, I'm lukewarm on open worked dials. The exceptions would definitely include these two amazing pieces. Wow, just wow! The backside is drop dead gorgeous also. Thanks for posting. M4

Exactly the same for me. But here, it is a really modern skeleton, not a rococo one. ;)

The only problem with this watch is that you stare at it all day!

Never knew this ref. Definitely eye catching. The RG looks to have NAC treatment on the movement, which seems to be an early one i can recall?

NAC? Ruthenium treatment of the movement, from what I remember.

Not sure what that entails, I imagine a chemical reaction

I am not, either, but when they are so modern, I like them. See Cartier, this one and the Reverso Platinum Skeleton Tourbillon, for example.

This one is a bit more than a skeleton as there is a real design of the movement, not only drilling material here and there. Not bad JLC! Best, E.
