Funny secret of the day: when I speak Italian, I don't pronounce the "r" correctly (this is of course not an "issue" in English where the "r" is totally different, but it might have been e.g. also in Spanish, etc.)...

To put it in a fancy way, that's how Gianni Agnelli (or the Italian nobles, which I'm not) used to speak...to put it less fancy, it's called "R moscia" and it drove my parents plus a logopedist crazy when I was a baby, before they finally gave up on me! ;-)) (I started speaking Italian when I was 7 months old, and never stopped since! ;-)
I love my "r" and would never correct it (it'd be too late anyway after age 5 or 6!), but just to say that while I'd have no problem repeating the first sentence with an English accent, it would become spectacularly comic if I did with an Italian (or Sicilian) accent! ;-))
PS: As a non-Italian, you probably wouldn't notice any of the above anyway even if you heard me (or Gianni Agnelli) speak...but that's a different story!
