This mechanism is not like the instantaneous date change that we are looking at. Don't compare it to that. This is a power reserve attached to the main spring, even during wind up the days, 6,7,8 & UP, take longer to wind so it works both ways. Friend, this is not an instantaneous date display what we all are more familiar with so please don't compare. Just enjoy your watch.

It looks even better in gold Thank you for your feedback. I will keep checking but yesterday the disk started moving and then stood for 5 or 8 minutes before the jump. The change mechanism clearly works but a bit slow, as it seems to me. ...

I am now completely at peace about it :) The accuracy of the watch is superb, as one can expect from JLC. By the way, does anybody know what is the accuracy standards for 1000 Hours Test when it comes to an 8 days caliber? Thanks to everyone, Ivan
