Conspiracy theory
Nicolas vanished because one of the following options (choose one, please):
a) He is testing a new JLC movement developed in ..... Japan, by Seiko.
b) A tunnel of his vintage JLC mine collapsed with him inside. No worries, JLC sent a team of watchmakers to rescue him.
c) He is field testing, in association with some secret organization (CERN?), the 2011 Reverso. Rumor states that the new reverso has not two but four faces (the hidden faces "live" on another dimension).
And the last one, very unlikely:
d) He is on vacation trying to recover from our storm of questions.

it's painfully obvious when he's not participating, the content level on the JLC forum drops into oblivion
