I think I am drawn more to the titanium. The dial is even more abstract that the original version, and that appeals to me for this type of watch. I have never hasd either on my wrist, so it would be foolish to state a firm preference, but on initial feeli... 

you made the best choice: 1)Titanium looks much cooler for such a sculptural/concept watch 2)Titanium sounds better 3)on such a big watch Titanium takes away a lot of weight(which I like don t get me wrong..)but not in this case.. no doubt the iterations ... 

Agreed on the case of the MGT Ti Van. But I much prefer the dial of my MMR. The best? The Ti Van Case with my MMR dial. For me, at least. Ciao! Nicolas

In the tivan It's more open due to the case shape, therefore the gongs for example are more exposed.... And also the gold accent on hands and markers are the biggest difference.... Mo

I much prefer the original Ti MMR... But this is, of course, very subjective... Best, Nicolas ...

Had the same dilemma between the PT and Ti versions and like you picked the Ti in the end and never looked back. I have to admit, the tonal quality on the PT did sound slightly better, which I would guess it probably attributes to the construction of the ...  

As for the sound, I found mine a bit too agreesive. I gave it back to the Manufacture when I was there, and they set the sound in another way: They reduced the volume, to gain in richness. Now, it is much better. Best, Jester. Nicolas. ...

mostly because of the dial. The titanium one is perfect in that sense, very ballanced and looks up to date even after 8 years. I did love the sound of the gold version, not as loud but perhaps a little more 'clean'. At the end of the day, the choice was t...  

And most often I found that the Gold was the best in terms of sound, much better than the platinum, and richer than the titanium. Now, you can ask the Manufacture to set it differently, as I did. Aaah, my friend, it starts to sound like a Roll Call! 3 Ti ... 

An excellent choice...One of many things that make JLC very special..the watches are always made as watches in the future just like the watch that you own.

it will always a beauty the Ti MM. Looking at all your pictures I can imagine the love you have for this piece. BTW the photo with the acoustic parameters - how do you interpret them? I suppose the Volume (dBA) would be as big (loud) as possible? what abo...

It was interesting to note the various parameters but somehow difficult to understand what it means in real sound. I have a reading as follow, with the trebuchet & crystal gong - not sure how much this contributes to making a different sound profile: ...

I just regretted that they came... As I think that the first MMRs would have got a bigger strenght without these " variations ". That is what JLC should hear, I think. Best, and thanks for your input, Phil. Nicolas.
