For many years, it was the only JLC sports watch that I owned. The boxed set was very special and came in a handsome wood box with both a leather strap and a rubber strap. The leather strap included a deployant, and the rubber strap included a pin buckle. Quick-release lugs allowed rapid installation of either, and the system was configured so that any 22mm strap would fit; no proprietary strap was necessary as with most of these QR lug systems. It was rated at 100-meter water resistance, and the quoted shock resistance from JLC was colossal.

There was a rare conservation-themed book that was issued with the watch, and not all buyers received the book. I collected it a few years down the line. In the back, there is a DVD with the face of the watch printed on its face! ...
It is one of those watches that surely not everyone will like..

but for me it is representative of an era in JLC and for sure this watch does not leave anyone indifferent. We are talking about a 2009 watch, with a super cool alarm and a world complication, with a lot of character and personality. Just like the persona...
