Thanks for bringing up this discussion Dje. I've posted my hopes in the Discuss section of Le Club with regards to the Polaris but here it goes again;
"'I would LOVE a EXACT reissue of the Polaris dive watch with alarm (in terms of design but updated with SL instead of Tritium) and hopefully add an additional GMT hand based on the new autotractor movement anytime. For better legibility perhaps a case of 42-44mm would be fine. These are real world useful practicalities. Nobody needs 1000m water resistance..( I've been an avid scuba diver for > 16 yrs)... 300m or even 200m is more than enough even for technical divers. Solid and reliable technology in a comfortable, elegantly simple watch rather than an over-engineered LOUD LOOKING humongous watch. I've never liked the hour hands on the Amvox and the look of the compressor keys so I'd prefer the hands and the crowns to remain the same as the original Polaris but with better luminousity. You don't need compressor keys to achieve 300m WR..look at the other major watchmakers....or my existing dive watches are proof of solid reliable WR watches used for extreme diving which don't shout..hey.. look at me."
