I went to put my Reverso on this morning and the deployant strap fell apart.
After reading everything here I figured it out. JLC has an awful design. If the end of the clasp had holes for the spring bar this would not have happened. The slots that the spring bar slides in and are locked in place by the end that says "push here" are compromised when there is play in the end of the strap.
Not taking any chances, I put on a regular clasp.

The manual spring bar release between the lugs is great and easy, but it takes me 30 mins to get this one silly connection together after it comes apart. I'm fairly sure there's an angle or position it is supposed to sit in so that it comes together easil...
The way to avoid the problem is to find the right way to open the clasp...
But I don’t want to run the risk to see it come apart... So I will put the buckle. Thanks for your post!

While I still find it a bit fussy, I was able to reduce the total time it took to change straps this morning, so I'm sure with more practice I'll continue to get better. Thanks again for your tips and quick reply. ...

You are amazing. This is nowhere to be found in the manual etc. Now it makes 100% sense. Mine fell off and the watch hit the floor. Did not look like that piece moves at all. You are a lifesaver.
