A curiosity: Jaeger Lecoultre Geomatic Ecole Professionnelle Vallée de Joux, Ref E 399.
I've only seen two other Geomatic like this one.
Jaeger Lecoultre, as some other brands, sent some of their watches to the horological school at the Vallée de Joux for the apprentices to work on them.
This is one of these watches which was recently auctioned. To be precise, Jaeger Lecoultre didn't send Geomatic only, but some other of their watches.
Antiquorum says that there is no medallion featuring the famous globe on the case back. I checked one of the two others I've seen, and yes, it is confirmed.
I wondered if the movement was specially finished by the apprentices, it is not the case.
Still, it is pretty thrilling to own one of these watches, for a Jaeger Lecoultre Fan, or not!
