Two months, it feels like an eternity...
...but that is just me, or a sign of the times, or both. Thru that time I feel that the TS and I are blending, is a comfort, I can let it speak for me. I can appreciate the praise for the technical, and yet this watch gets me on a personal level.
Before the watch was released I got a call from a friend at JLC that explained the concept, and without seeing it I loved it. In a world where excess and shine has ruled, here comes a watch that returns to the essence of watchmaking and finds an expression that is guaranteed to turn off the others, whomever they may be. Of course one can find this with the Independents yet that it is a JLC, a brand that stretches mainstream, gives it a weighty meaning. It's a direction, a statement of character of who they are.
The watch turns inwards, it finds its meaning thru what it is, not what it shows. I like this idea, I like this idea on a personal level, a lot.

The World Timer is great, a real winner. On the UT, the dead second I think is okay for me, but on the "Geophysic" it would bother me as looking too Quartz. The movement is a great addition. CC

Interesting, as you could say exactly the same thing for any world time.
At the beginning, you have to figure out how it works. Then, once you got it, it is easy to get used to it. The detail on the UT is that the cities ring doesn't move. Which makes it simpler, but the fun of changing the cities doesn't exist on the UT. Than...

Like most people, I really like the UT.
As for the true second, I'm not really bothered by the jumping second hand since I know it's a mechanical watch. I just have one wild thought: Perhaps a transparent dial to reveal the true second mechanism?
Aaaah, now that's an idea! Never thought about that!

The dial is by far the most attractive I've seen anywhere and the colors are deep and beautiful. The true seconds is not a deal maker or breaker for me. Nice addition but to me I have just a very slight preference for the regular sweep instead of true bes...

I saw the UT yesterday (real life)
and I have to say it looks really good. In gold. The steel version doesn\'t make the dial pop. Oh and I have to say that the screws in the dial are not that \'in your face\' at all. They are really really tiny. But once you know they are there....you will...

Just tried it on today!
And was very impressed by the impeccable case and movement finishing. Dare I say almost as good as the workmanship from Patek or Lange! The proportions is beautiful and the true seconds movement is unique. Definitely a watch for a true watch collector! ...
