Well, my first reaction was also on the inappropriateness of wearing that rugged watch at such a formal event. And also the inevitable doubt on the 'ambassadorship' and product placement (which gets me nervous, especially when seeing the ridiculous and ar...

This is the problem with JLC, they did the same thing with the Polaris, by the way. They send 200 watches at the same time... . So, loically, you should see several for sale till the end of this year. After, it will be another story, like for the Polaris....

as it would have been coherent with the film - as Clavi already pointed out. Concerning Bond: the Rolex was at least smaller. The TTDSA is so big that it even seems to obstruct the cuff from sliding down to the wrist. On authenticity: You cannot say that ... 

In fact, it is quite petite by modern standards, and wears no bigger than my matte-dial 16800. Now, whether or not it should be worn with a tux is an argument that I'll let the more sartorially-inclined debate, though to my admittedly philistine eyes it l...

And am a bit late to this post but I was thinking the same thing . . . "I'd never wear that with a tux." I do wonder if it was personal taste or product placement. But if the later, so many other wonderful choices from JLC . . . .

Well, I guess when you have a tuxedo on your back, and an Oscar in the hand, you may wear a diver on the wrist. Who can say no? It also helps when you are as dashing and charming as Dujardin. Congratulations to JLC for keeping such good company. respo

By my book, a formal event (tuxedo etc.) requires a social watch. A Reverso, that has roots on the time of the movie should be more appropriate and elegant. But, at that day he got his moment of fame and he could wear anything. About the movie, from the b...

If he was wearing a pair of jeans, no problem but he was dressed with a full tuxedo. I understand that the Oscar event is "Hollywood chic" (fake chic, of course). Anyway, he is not that young (40, this year - source IMDB) and a Reverso (or something forma...

He is a great actor of a movie that should be praised by all, including the French people. What he needs is to request Vlad's advise about what to wear on his future Oscar. My humble suggestions is for a E 168. Cheers, Nilo
