EL2 Week 5!!!

 By: K-Lo : April 10th, 2023-01:51
Week 5 Notes: Timekeeping is still spot on. Gaining a little, but that is expected. I did have one incident where I stopped the chronograph as the minutes digit counter was changing minutes. The minutes digit counter seemed stuck in transition and I was u...

Is that a 47mm case size?

Excellent pictorial 👌🏽

When did you get an E60 M5?

It's my favorite M5, although it's the most fuel consuming beast out there! What happened to the Alfa?

Maybe! LOLOLOL

hahah, last year!

I traded the Alfa for a Merc SUV and then missed a high horse powered sedan. So I got the BMW engine that is known to blow up!! LOL it's got 33K miles and no "check engine" light at this time. I don't drive it much anyways...

Yeah. You’re ok at 33k miles.

What year? Just make sure you check the valve timing and the rod bearings. It’s a very thirsty motor. But still lots of fun to drive. Even more thirsty than my E class AMG. But more fun too. Do oil change at 5000-6500 mile intervals. As dirty oil really h...

It’s an 06 with the crappy SMG gear box lol.

I changed the oil about 1k miles ago, and going to do a Blackstone oil analysis this year. Sounds wonderful though.

Enjoy!

I don’t dislike the SMG. But you really have to get the rpm over 3000 until the thing will shift smoothly. Definitely a weekend car personality. But in a practical shape. The audio system is amazing too. Best audio system I’ve ever had.

For me these "real life real owners" posts worth 1000 times more than the PR stuff and mountains of words and photos which became 99% of what we get to see on the net.

Not tired of it?

Tired! Never Counselor!!

But I do have my eye on some of my Reversos to put on again, and I do need a 1931 soon and I am selfishly hoping the watch market to tank so I can afford one, LOLOLOL

We can always hope...

My pleasure! I do it for you, and the Maison!

Take care of yourself!

You’re close to exceeding my Journe CTS run, with a much more difficult daily wearer.

Of all the watches this one is definitely not the easiest choice for a long term experiment under multiple use case scenarios. So credit to you for keeping it going. While I had a size issue with my Journe (it being a little too big for my wrist in certai...

Yes, the heft of a gold watch def let's you know its there, I guess for me, one good thing is I don't just bang it around on the train or in the office, or wherever else because its omnipresent to me. Surprisingly, the digital minutes counter is holding u...
