My favorite watch, regardless of price
In comparing this watch against others either logically or emotionally, I simply cannot find another that eclipses it (the blue with smoother bezel specifically). Though not anything anyone would call "affordable", there certainly is not a better value out there in the "watch world".
And despite a dial and size that push boundaries, in daily wear it's actually a very under-the-radar watch that doesn't get noticed often at all.

and yes both are not playing in the same league as they are different types of watches, one being more technical as you stated and the other being more innovative and practical in use and functionality.
I will bring both when we meet in Paris :-) as I really would like to hear your MMR in person...
still considering it against the Grand Tradition MR (newer version of the MMR) or the Zeitwerk MR but that is multiples more so difficult decision as it is not really apples to apples. ...
Love what the EL represents
... that there's still a future for watchmaking, especially with the bigger brands. Not every piece has to be a tribute of something from 50 years ago. The nostalgia wears thin after a while. Wish someone like JLC is brave enough to continue this outstand...

I remember when I got my RG EL2, I liked how the RG hands stood out better
And the black PVD coating on the bridges made a big difference for better legibility. It’s a shame they stripped it out with later generations. Still the coolest watch made by JLC this century that is not six figures.

But I think it's an absolute giant. To me I really can't make a call between the two. But Duometre is a legend
