Clasp change

Dec 22, 2012,20:49 PM

The only change that I am aware of is that around 2007 JLC switched from a single deployant clasp to a  double deployant clasp.

I have had no issues with my Compressor Geographic.

Dilemma? I'm not sure if there's going to be one yet. Lately I'm addicted to the world time watches. After I saw the VC patrimony video on youtube, I was just desperate to get one. But VC is just too out of reach at this point, and my friend even made a c...

The 2010 one, it has ALWAYS been referenced 171 xxxxx. I never heard about issues with the city disk or with its movement. Everything can happen, of course, but it is not known as a problematic watch. OF COURSE, it is always better to buy your watch at a ...

You mean no such ref number or no change in the design of the watch, or? Here's a write up dated back to 2003. +brief+look+at+Master+Compressor+Geographic%2C+hopefully+answering+previous+question+posted

In the catalogs, since the beginning, it always had the same ref.

In the catalogs. That is what I meant. Now, we also know that there are some differences, sometimes, between the ref engraved on the case and the ref written in the catalog. But this is the same watch. Best, Nicolas

Thanks, Nicolas. [nt]

I think the double clasp came in 2005, my wrist remembers that quite well.

As I felt the single folding buckle to be quite comfortable, which was not the case with the double... It pinches my wrist each time! Best, Nicolas.
