Jaeger-LeCoultre

Another update - no good news :(

Here are the recent developments in my miserable watch case.
The AD's watchmaker inspected the watch and informed me that the "day/night" indicator offset is only 30min and it's not worth bothering with. I agreed but suspected something worse - the misalignment cannot change from 3hours to 30 minutes just like that. I suspected that JLC in fact didn't fix the issue they introduced during the first servicing.
I got the watch back and tried it out on my wrist for several days - unfortunately my suspicions were correct! The "day/night" hand still had "freedom" in it - it stayed in place for hours, then it moved back a little or even jumped forward the whole 12 hours (see an example below).
This obviously means that the watch needs to be sent back to Switzerland...for the third time...
It's been more than a year since I sent the watch for servicing for the first time (Aug 2012) and it really difficult for me to keep civilized when I'm writing this! I really think that JLC will have to come up with something better than just a leather strap as a compensation in this case!

Here's just one example:

·        the "jour/nuit" hand suddenly leaps backward in a matter of minutes. On the wrist (left) blue mark shows where the _moon_ was supposed to be (it's 9:45PM) and then just a couple minutes later (right) – notice the sun jump back several hours:

The AD informed me that the watch has been sent back to JLC this week along with my letter explaining the issue. Keeping my fingers crossed that "third time is a charm"...
