Congratulations on your IWC UTC, a classic thru and thru. I have been told that Guilio Papi from APRP was involved in the design of the advanced, at the time, UTC module. Mine has been in my collection for over 15 years with no issues or problems as it is... 

This was the second IWC I ever saw someone wear and man I loved that watch back in the day.

...from a time when IWC had good designs. Perfect size at 39mm, understated elegance and extremely legible. I have lent mine to my father, as he finds it easy to read in his older age.
