That’s how I feel. I still have my 5002 after 15 years.

I doesn’t really get worn as my interests have moved on but I feel it is the iconic one without belittling the other iterations.

Is the IWC Big Pilot 5002-01 the standard by which all other Big Pilot versions are measured?

There are some, maybe a majority, that think the 5002-01 is the standard setter for the Big Pilot model range over the years, what do you think? I think so... Thanks to our wonderful IWC moderator, India Whiskey Charlie, for providing this link on another...

I love my 5002 and my wife does too. I like the slow beat, patina date window, fish crown, buffalo strap, and jangly rotor noises. I also have a BP Miramar which I think is an interesting departure from the original and I enjoy for more rugged activities....
