Resistance was futile
In the face of what seemed like a barrage of posts and pictures of IWC pieces, I was no longer able to resist the charms and iconic reputation of the Big Pilot. Special thanks to IWC (our moderator) and Costa for their experiences and advice. It is a big watch, for sure, but there is a certain ease to wearing it (and reading it). I expect this will give my PAM 372 a challenge for wrist time as a cool casual weekend piece.
p.s. sorry for the poor quality pic as apparently mirror reflections don’t photograph well. A direct wrist shot made the BP look comically big on me; hence the mirror shot.

Also, as you suggested, I have the brown buffalo leather strap on the way. You know, I really like the look of the black alligator leather strap too…but the brown strap is more my preference now.

I’ll admit, their various pilot watches are dangerously attractive. The same applies to the classic Portugieser, which I remember was always attractive to me since many years ago. But this BP is my first ever IWC.
Great way to enter the IWC world.
The BP is my favorite IWC watch. It’s an iconic piece with great wrist presence. Btw it fits you well. Not too large at all. Wear it in good health.
