What kind of luminous material from the 1970s could have remained white for over 40 years? Or are the dial and hands later replacements.

..... they are super nice with the pilot inspired dial ...... second, the IWC Ingenieur 866 is in itself a super rare and valuable watch with a great movement ....... it is being said that only 6 to 12 of these prototype like 866 "military" versions were ...

And I have to say I am truly impressed with IWC having had a representative in Angola in 1971!
