I was all up in arms to see it when it finally came to Oslo last April. My intrigue with the Ingenieur-line was mainly because of Genta stamp. I had seen the former renditions of it, but I preferred the 70s version.
I went to the boutique to take a look and I was all smiles.
Sure, the crown guard is unnecessary and takes a bit away from the original spirit of its progenitor, but it just looked too good. It is could be be thinner though, however it felt great on the wrist. The aqua dial is fantastic, especially for a guy like me who loves the ocean.
The bracelet could be less chunky-esque but it very much complements the bezel.
All in all I love this watch. It gets far more wrist time than my jumbo, Offshores and Royal Oak. It is an amazing reset and update to the Ingenieur line.
I am still hoping for two tone and interesting metal combinations, and I must admit I just might purchase the blue dial. The limited green edition is high on my wish list. I’m going to try out the ceramic this Saturday and I cannot wait.
All in all I give the watch 8/10. I adore it.
