With a better movement. Good luck to them, the more I look at the novelties in this crowded category, the more I believe the Finissimo belongs to the top 5.
Agreed, for the money, I'd go for the Octo Finissimo.
The case thickness of the new version is 10.8mm according to the press release. Not too thick, but still not quite thin. Considering the price is very similar to the Octo Finissimo, I see the OF as the better value here.
I agree that OF and OR (octo roma) has more value.
But 40 mm square wears huge. I wish Bulgari someday make the smaller OF and OR. 36-37 mm in square case will wears beautifully like 38-39 round watch.
It's not that big. I think you can pull it off.
Here is a petite Japanese lady, Miss Sejima, wearing the same sized Octo Finissimo. It's generous on her, but not overly big. I hate to admit it, but my wrist isn't much larger than hers. ...
The new Octo Roma Automatic is actually quite nice...

The new version's crown guards do make the design look heavy and bulky!
But even then, the new IWC and the two Chopard models (Alpine Eagle with LUC Movement and 1860 with LUC Movement) are the star of the show. Combine that with the Van Cleef & Arpels automatons; those are our four W&W winners this year.

I do like the design of this. I know what you mean about the crown guards. I much prefer the old Air King (though the new one is still very cool!), and the Speedy Ed White looks a completely different moon watch without them too.
