No, I have the successor (the second generation).
It still has the old, but revised movement 95290 (small seconds also at 9), sapphire glass and some other technical improvements. 
But I find the old IWC signature very romantic and ideal for this kind of watch.

IWC at their very best
For those who have not heard the brilliant chiming, the beginning of this video has it in nice quality:
The microphone placement probably makes the sound in the video louder than what you'd hear in real life

It would be interesting if the construction and/or architecture of the modular system was changed. The movement is the same.
