These BP movements are really 8 day movements with a mechanism to stop them after 7 days. Since they are automatics, the main spring has a ‘Y’ at the outer end that acts as a clutch against the inner circumference of the barrel.
It may be that by “over winding” the watch, you are getting the spring fully wound to the point of the spring slipping while maxing out the power reserve hand at its full position. This would also take place by wearing the watch so that is continues to wind with your activity after the power reserve subdial indicates a full wind.
I’ve never seen a schematic of how the mechanism to stop the watch at 7 days works, so I’m theorizing on its interaction with a conventional, but very large, automatic mainspring setup.
