3 theories for the IWC '68'
Thanks Kong for the report.
There are 3 theories for the '68' numbering.on the tee-shirts.
1) It is one numeral less than '69', which is another popular lucky number for some brands' limited edition watches.
2) In 1968, IWC started a special training unit for their high end watchmakers.
3) F.A. Jones founded IWC in 1868 and lost it by 1880.
hmmmm.....Lets vote for our favourite theory!

1. Portuguese Yacht Club Chronograph has a power reserve of 68 hours 2. IWC was founded in 1868 3. Kong was born exactly 100 years later, in 1968...=P Thus, my 3 great reasons why 68 is used. HAGWE!!!
my answers are...its not 68...its 89 read upside down
the answers are 1) the original yacht club was appeared in the 1968 catalogue for the first time and 2) the original yacht club houses the famous caliber 89, a 12 ligne handwinding movement developed by IWC's best mind Albert Pellaton, if i am not wrong,....

We all know 168 is one of the favorite numbers for Chinese because it means prosper all the way. But with the IWC Portuguese Yacht Club it has association to numbers 6 and 8 due to it's power reserve. Now where is the number 1? It's actually the first let...
