Oooo, that's a great idea, next strap! It's funny, I recently visited a new GF AD and noted the loss of individual numbering on the watches, the sports watches are all "1 of XX" instead of individual numbering, and the sales manager who was just trained by GF had absolutely no idea what I was talking about. Explaining the red tick at 11 would have taken a couple of espressos and I would have felt like a huge nerd. The stainless S1 is definitely something from a different time, a different GF.
I resisted going with a grey strap all this time since it felt too on the nose to match the dial but actually it's awesome, I should have done it sooner. A deep brown / cognac was also in the running, don't think you'll go wrong with either. And yes, if you're ever in NYC let me know, I'll buy drinks somewhere discrete with good lighting for some wrist shots! 😜

True, but in some places I feel much more comfortable wearing this S1 than a Sub or a Royal Oak.

The (relatively) modest case size make it a perfect fit for me, and I love the simplicity of it. Plus the fact that it's stainless steel, which makes it pretty unique in this segment.
