John Mcgonigle who previously worked with his brother started his own company Oilean. The base movement is a Valjoux 88 and retail price is around 24K eur exVAT Best, Tristan

I do like what i see although its not a cheap watch .

The watch is thick, I believe over 14mm. I’m not the biggest fan of the dial, but McGonigle is a massive talent and I suspect he’s raising capital with this project in order to afford him time to work on something even more special. Just a prediction

..am very aware of McGonigle watches but stylistically they don’t float my boat - and their price is another road block. This piece however is much more up my street. Must investigate further, would love to ‘Buy Irish’ someday! A.
