Wonderful watches!
I’m not an owner, but I think many of De Bethune’s watches are beautiful and modern. Some are not to my taste, but I think they’ve hit their stride with the articulating lugs. The DB28 is the signature and the one I might choose myself.
With a large budget, I’d seriously consider the new DB21RE Maxichrono Reediton. The new dial is a significant improvement, one of those busy dials that looks pleasing to the eye. Very impressive technically too. Did not even know of its existence until your post encouraged me to visit their site.

And I personally like it so much more than the original. De Bethune are always tinkering with their designs in real-time and re-thinking concepts. One of the advantages of being such a small manufacturer.

There’s no bad place to start, they are all winners!
But I agree with you, the DB 28 is the most iconic piece for the brand IMHO. It’s so comfortable with the floating lugs and relatively thin, it’s hard to take off the wrist and wear anything else 😀

Here’s a photo I took yesterday that I think came out well. Like a lot of watches the dial changes a lot based on lighting and angles. The whiteness of the titanium case also shows well here, I think. Looking forward to seeing more DeBethune beauties here...
