When discussing with Laurent Ferrier
last February, I sensed his skepticism regarding this obsessive desire for anti-reflective coatings, which stems exclusively from our world dominated by photos posted on social media and forums. Reflections are part of the real, everyday experience of wearing a watch, and photographic obsession aside, there's no reason to want to eliminate them completely.

Good thoughts, all! I have to say I don’t particularly object to the reflection, and have in fact had fun photographing the reflections on the Venturer crystal. I guess I’m more curious as to any aesthetic motivation for not using AR coatings. In the case...
